We posed for a picture in front of the turkey that all of the kindergarten students made. It is hanging in our school lobby.

Veterans Day Presentation #2
We had another veteran come and talk to us today. He was in the army for several years and served in many other countries. He showed us some of his uniforms and several pictures, too. We really liked the pictures he showed us of the helicopter he flew in while in the army! He was awarded a Purple Heart, which we were fortunate enough to get to see today. We are so thankful for the time he spent serving our country, and for all of our veterans! They are true heroes! Happy Veterans Day

Thank you so much for teaching our children about Veteran's Day in such a meaningful way by inviting such special people to present and tell their stories and share their experiences.
ReplyDeleteThat is so amazing! It was the talk of our house for several days, my daughter was very moved by his visit. We are so thankful for his service and that he was able to come and talk to the kids about being in the army!
