A Day of Fun!
We sorted skeleton bones and then ate them today! We were really good at sorting and finding out which groups had the most/least! We were also really good at building skeletons with our bones!

Pumpkin Seeds/Candy Corn/Spiders
We planted pumpkin seeds today! These were the seeds we took out of the pumpkin we carved yesterday. We can't wait to see if our pumpkin seeds sprout soon!

Pumpkin Carving/Flying Bats
We carved a pumpkin today! We had to pull all of the seeds and "pumpkin guts" (as we called them) out of our pumpkin! We weren't crazy about having to touch the "pumpkin guts" but Mrs. Bickel encouraged us to touch them anyway! We think our jack-o-lantern looks great!

Monster Toast/Monster Faces
We made "Monster Toast" today! We mixed food coloring and milk together and then painted it on a piece of bread. It was so fun painting on bread instead of paper! We toasted our bread in the big oven in our school kitchen and then ate it. We LOVED our toast!!!

Fruit Snacks Math
We did some Halloween math today! Our math time involved sorting Halloween fruit snacks! After sorting them, we then counted and graphed how many of each fruit snack we had. The best part was getting to eat our fruit snacks after math time!

Community Helpers - Day 10/Class Pumpkins/Fun Friday
Today we had our last visitor for our Community Helpers unit. This visitor is a Stay at Home Mom. She also does volunteer work in our community. We learned that she is very busy...and rarely ever stays home! When she is at home she has to cook, clean, shop, care for her family, and plan family activities. Being a Stay a Home Parent is a big job!!!

Community Helpers - Day 9/Slime
We had another visitor today! She teaches music classes to infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. We really had fun with her! She let us play a drum and rhythm sticks while we sang along with her. Then, we did some scarf dancing and we REALLY liked that! It was the perfect activity for us because we love singing and dancing in our classroom!
