Community Helpers - Day 7/Exciting News

We had a parent come and talk to us today about her job as a professor.  She can speak French and she teaches her students at MU about medieval times.  We enjoyed seeing pictures of castles that she has visited, and we liked the pictures of the knight, princess, and prince!  After learning from her, we each made a "Coat of Arms" (Family Crest) with symbols on it that represent each of our families.  There were some creative "Coat of Arms" in our classroom!

Mrs. Bickel found out today that she received a grant she wrote for our classroom!  We will now have $467.00 worth of new literacy center materials to use in our classroom!  These materials will help us be better readers and writers this year!  We can't wait until these new items arrive in the mail!
