We met with our 3rd Grade Buddies for the first time today! We will be doing various activities with them throughout the year. Today we had fun playing "Nature Bingo" with them!

Community Helpers - Day 5 and 3rd Grade Buddies
We had a soil scientist come and talk to us today about his job. We learned why soil is important and he told us about things that are in the soil. He then made a yummy "soil snack" with us! We had pudding and crushed Oreo cookies for soil, a gummy worm, candy corn candies for seeds, and Nerds candies for fertilizer! It was sure a delicious and educational snack!!!

ReplyDeleteYour soil lesson looks fun and delicious, I liked hearing about the different foods you used to represent the parts of soil! I love that you have 3rd grade buddies, it looks like you all are having fun learning together!
